A Western Cape sailor, Athenkosi Mahluma represents IZI in competitive dinghy racing. Since April 2023, 122 races across 13 regattas have been recorded for Athenkosi. Most of Athenkosi's racing has been in Mirror, with additional starts in 420. Highlights include winning the 2025 W. Cape Championships - Dinghy Classes in the Mirror fleet, along with the 2024 Zvyc Southern Charter Classic in the Mirror fleet. Athenkosi continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
