Ben Madel represents ZVYC and races in the Western Cape sailing circuit. Since December 2023, 136 races across 18 regattas have been recorded for Ben. Most of Ben's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in Optimist B and Sonnet. Notable results include victory at the 2026 HYC Cape Classic in the Optimist A fleet and strong finishes at the 2024 Zvyc Southern Charter Classic. Ben continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
