Ben Madel represents ZVYC and races in the Western Cape sailing circuit. Ben's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2023. Since then 124 races across 17 regattas have been completed. Most of Ben's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in Optimist B and Sonnet. Notable results include victory at the 2023 GENMAC Youth Nationals in the Optimist B fleet and strong finishes at the 2026 HYC Cape Classic. Ben continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
