Blake Madel represents ZVYC and races in the Western Cape sailing circuit. Blake's competitive record on SailingSA begins in April 2023. Since then 168 races across 20 regattas have been completed. Blake competes mainly in the ILCA 6 fleet, alongside races in 29er and ILCA 4.7. Blake's best results include winning the 2025 SA Youth Nationals in the ILCA 6 fleet, as well as the 2025 W. Cape Championships - Dinghy Classes in the ILCA 6 fleet. Blake remains active in regional dinghy racing.
