Bruce competes mainly in the IOM fleet, alongside races in other fleets. Bruce's best results include winning the 2024 -05-12 Df95 & Iom Mpumalanga Championship in the IOM fleet, as well as the 2024 -05-12 Df95 & Iom Mpumalanga Championship in the IOM fleet. Bruce remains active in regional dinghy racing.
