Des Fairbank sails out of MRYC in the KwaZulu-Natal. Des's earliest SailingSA result dates to October 2021. Since then 247 races across 13 regattas have been recorded. Des competes mainly in the DF95 fleet, alongside races in IOM. Highlights include winning the 2021 Df95 Nationals in the DF95 fleet, along with the 2024 -10-20 Iom Nationals in the IOM fleet. Des continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
