A Western Cape sailor, Friso Hoogduyn represents ZVYC in competitive dinghy racing. Since April 2021, 24 races across 2 regattas have been recorded for Friso. Friso competes mainly in the Optimist B fleet, alongside races in other fleets. Friso's best results include winning the 2021 Western Cape Championships in the Optimist B fleet, as well as the 2021 Western Cape Championships Optimist B in the Optimist B fleet. Friso remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
