Kalea Lagesse represents LYC and races in the WC sailing circuit. Kalea's competitive record on SailingSA begins in April 2023. Since then 40 races across 6 regattas have been completed. Kalea competes mainly in the Hobie 16 fleet, alongside races in other fleets. Kalea's best results include winning the 2025 Hobie16 Nationals in the Hobie 16 fleet, as well as the 2024 Hobie 16 Nationals in the Hobie 16 fleet. Kalea continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
