A KwaZulu-Natal sailor, Kay Mc Hugh represents ZYC in competitive dinghy racing. Since December 2023, 12 races across 1 regattas have been recorded for Kay. Kay competes mainly in the ILCA 4.7 fleet, alongside races in other fleets. Kay's best results include winning the 2023 GENMAC Youth Nationals in the ILCA 4.7 fleet, as well as the 2023 GENMAC Youth Nationals in the ILCA 4.7 fleet. Kay remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
