A Western Cape sailor, Maddison Smit represents MAC in competitive dinghy racing. Since December 2024, 67 races across 9 regattas have been recorded for Maddison. Maddison's primary class has been 420, with additional appearances in Mirror and Topaz. Maddison's best results include winning the 2025 SA Youth Nationals in the Mirror fleet, as well as the 2026 HYC Cape Classic in the 420 fleet. Maddison remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
