Sailing from PYC, Marcel Vermaak competes in the KwaZulu-Natal dinghy circuit. Since February 2025, 29 races across 3 regattas have been recorded for Marcel. Most of Marcel's racing has been in Mirror, with additional starts in other fleets. Marcel's best results include winning the SailingSA events in the multiple fleets fleet, as well as the SailingSA events in the multiple fleets fleet. Marcel remains active in regional dinghy racing.
