A Western Cape sailor, Michael Bartholomew represents RCYC in competitive dinghy racing. Since February 2019, 14 races across 3 regattas have been recorded for Michael. Most of Michael's racing has been in Cape 31, with additional starts in other fleets. Highlights include winning the 2024 -02-04 Gimco in the Cape 31 fleet, along with the 2024 -02-04 Gimco in the Cape 31 fleet. Michael continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
