A Western Cape sailor, Sean Kavanagh represents SBYC in competitive dinghy racing. Sean's competitive record on SailingSA begins in April 2023. Since then 126 races across 12 regattas have been completed. Sean competes mainly in the Dabchick fleet, alongside races in 49er and 29er. Highlights include winning the 2025 SA Youth Nationals in the Dabchick fleet, along with the 2024 SA Sailing Youth Nationals - Dabchick Final - in the Dabchick fleet. Sean continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
