A Western Cape sailor, Sean Kavanagh represents SBYC in competitive dinghy racing. Sean's competitive record on SailingSA begins in April 2023. Since then 151 races across 15 regattas have been completed. Sean's primary class has been Dabchick, with additional appearances in Sonnet and DF95. Highlights include winning the 2024 SA Sailing Youth Nationals - Dabchick Final - in the Dabchick fleet, along with the 2025 SA Sailing Youth National Championship - Final 19 2025 in the Dabchick fleet. Sean continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
