A Western Cape sailor, Sean van Aswegen represents TSC in competitive dinghy racing. Sean's competitive record on SailingSA begins in April 2023. Since then 150 races across 19 regattas have been completed. Most of Sean's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in ILCA 4.7 and Mirror. Highlights include winning the 2025 Overberg Regional Championships in the Optimist A fleet, along with the 2023 Msc Dinghy Classes & Hobie 16 Western Cape Regional Championships in the Mirror fleet. Sean remains active in regional dinghy racing.
