A Western Cape sailor, Sean van Aswegen represents TSC in competitive dinghy racing. Sean's earliest SailingSA result dates to April 2023. Since then 150 races across 19 regattas have been recorded. Most of Sean's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in ILCA 4.7 and Mirror. Highlights include winning the 2025 Overberg Regional Championships in the Optimist A fleet, along with the 2023 Msc Dinghy Classes & Hobie 16 Western Cape Regional Championships in the Mirror fleet. Sean continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
