Sailing from ZYC, Shawn Pretorius competes in the KwaZulu-Natal dinghy circuit. Shawn's competitive record on SailingSA begins in January 2025. Since then 10 races across 2 regattas have been completed. Shawn competes mainly in the Dart 1 up fleet, alongside races in Dart 18. Highlights include winning the SailingSA events in the multiple fleets fleet, along with the SailingSA events in the multiple fleets fleet. Shawn continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
