Simankele Mtshofeni represents IZI and races in the Western Cape sailing circuit. Since April 2023, 160 races across 17 regattas have been recorded for Simankele. Most of Simankele's racing has been in Mirror, with additional starts in 420. Highlights include winning the 2025 SA Youth Nationals in the Mirror fleet, along with the 2025 SA Sailing Youth National Championship - Final 19 2025 in the Mirror fleet. Simankele continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
