Sailing from HMYC, Taylor Pretorius competes in the KwaZulu-Natal dinghy circuit. Taylor's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2021. Since then 171 races across 25 regattas have been completed. Taylor's primary class has been Optimist A, with additional appearances in Dabchick and Dart 18. Notable results include victory at the 2024 -07-07 Hmyc Club Class Championships in the Optimist A fleet and strong finishes at the 2025 -01-27 Hmyc Grand Slam. Taylor continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
