Sailing from DUT, Welile Mabaso competes in the KwaZulu-Natal dinghy circuit. Welile's competitive record on SailingSA begins in January 2025. Since then 10 races across 2 regattas have been completed. Most of Welile's racing has been in TSL, with additional starts in other fleets. Highlights include winning the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam in the TSL fleet, along with the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam Multihull Final in the TSL fleet. Welile remains active in regional dinghy racing.
