How rankings work
Explanation shell — formula text will be filled when the SAS Points engine is approved.
SAS Points (pending)
Official rankings will use event-driven, incremental SAS Points. This page will document every weighting and multiplier.
Event rating
Each parent event has a prestige rating from 1000 (World/Olympics) down to 50 (ordinary club race). Only persisted ratings feed rankings.
Audit trail
Every recalculation writes an immutable ranking audit. Profiles will link to the exact version that produced a sailor’s points.
