A Western Cape sailor, Amir Yaghya represents ZVYC in competitive dinghy racing. Amir's competitive record on SailingSA begins in April 2023. Since then 35 races across 5 regattas have been completed. Amir competes mainly in the 420 fleet, alongside races in ILCA 6. Notable results include victory at the 2023 Msc Dinghy Classes & Hobie 16 Western Cape Regional Championships in the 420 fleet and strong finishes at the 2025 Macs Shipping Zvyc Club Champs. Amir remains active in regional dinghy racing.
