Ashley Layland represents GLYC and races in the Western Cape sailing circuit. Since December 2017, 76 races across 7 regattas have been recorded for Ashley. Ashley competes mainly in the RS Tera Pro fleet, alongside races in Dabchick and ILCA 4.7. Notable results include victory at the 2019 SA Sailing Youth Nationals in the RS Tera Pro fleet and strong finishes at the 2018 SA Youth Nationals. Ashley remains active in regional dinghy racing.
