Sailing from HYC, Bastien Taylor competes in the Western Cape dinghy circuit. Bastien's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2025. Since then 59 races across 7 regattas have been completed. Bastien competes mainly in the Optimist B fleet, alongside races in other fleets. Key performances include winning the 2026 Western Cape Dinghy Championships Final in the Optimist B fleet, along with the 2026 HYC Cape Classic in the Optimist B fleet. Bastien continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
