HYC - Hermanus Yacht Club
About
Hermanus Yacht Club was formed on 17 April 1950 to encourage boating and the racing of sailing craft on Hermanus Lagoon (Kleinrivier Lagoon / Stofvlei). The clubhouse officially opened on 31 March 1951. Racing is active year-round; the club also runs a social programme with regular suppers, games for children, dances, and special dinners at Easter and Christmas. Hermanus Yacht Club is members-only.
