A Western Cape sailor, James Rae represents HYC in competitive dinghy racing. James's earliest SailingSA result dates to April 2023. Since then 139 races across 14 regattas have been recorded. Most of James's racing has been in 29er, with additional starts in Dabchick and Sonnet. Highlights include winning the 2026 Rsa 29Er Nationals in the 29er fleet, along with the 2025 29Er Nationals in the 29er fleet. James remains active in regional dinghy racing.
