A Western Cape sailor, Emma Deversen represents HYC in competitive dinghy racing. Since February 2025, 24 races across 4 regattas have been recorded for Emma. Emma's primary class has been Optimist B, with additional appearances in other fleets. Emma's best results include winning the 2026 HYC Cape Classic in the Optimist B fleet, as well as the 2026 HYC Cape Classic in the Optimist B fleet. Emma continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
