Sailing from HYC, Gordon Guthrie competes in the Western Cape dinghy circuit. Gordon's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2023. Since then 100 races across 12 regattas have been completed. Gordon competes mainly in the Hobie 16 fleet, alongside races in Sonnet. Key performances include winning the 2025 TSC Cape Classic in the Hobie 16 fleet, along with the 2025 HYC Cape Classic Hobie 16 in the Hobie 16 fleet. Gordon continues to build experience across competitive sailing regattas.
