Sailing from HYC, David Rae competes in the Western Cape dinghy circuit. David's competitive record on SailingSA begins in February 2024. Since then 75 races across 12 regattas have been completed. David competes mainly in the Sonnet fleet, alongside races in 505 and Cape 31. David's best results include winning the 2025 Sonnet National Championship in the Sonnet fleet, as well as the 2025 W. Cape Championships - Dinghy Classes in the 505 fleet. David remains active in regional dinghy racing.
