Sailing from HYC, Dale Rae competes in the Western Cape dinghy circuit. Since April 2022, 135 races across 17 regattas have been recorded for Dale. Dale competes mainly in the 29er fleet, alongside races in Sonnet and Cape 31. Key performances include winning the 2025 -05-04 29Er Nationals in the 29er fleet, along with the 2022 Western Cape Dinghy Champs Incorporating Mirror Nationals in the Sonnet fleet. Dale remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
