A Western Cape sailor, Douglas Edwards represents MAC in competitive dinghy racing. Douglas's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2024. Since then 42 races across 4 regattas have been completed. Douglas competes mainly in the Hobie 16 fleet, alongside races in Hobie Tiger. Douglas's best results include winning the 2026 Hobie Tiger National Championships in the Hobie Tiger fleet, as well as the 2025 Hobie16 Nationals in the Hobie 16 fleet. Douglas remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
