Gust Funke represents PYC and races in the KwaZulu-Natal sailing circuit. Gust's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2023. Since then 57 races across 7 regattas have been completed. Most of Gust's racing has been in Dabchick, with additional starts in Optimist A. Highlights include winning the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam in the Dabchick fleet, along with the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam in the Dabchick fleet. Gust continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
