Jean Buys sails out of GLYC in the Western Cape. Jean's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2023. Since then 109 races across 8 regattas have been completed. Most of Jean's racing has been in ILCA 6, with additional starts in ILCA 4.7 and ILCA 7. Jean's best results include winning the 2026 Eden District Inter Schools Regatta in the ILCA 7 fleet, as well as the 2026 Eden District Inter Schools Regatta in the ILCA 7 fleet. Jean continues to build experience across competitive sailing regattas.
