John competes mainly in the Hobie 14 fleet, alongside races in Hobie 16 and Hobie Tiger. Notable results include victory at the 2025 Triple Crown #1 (Final) in the Hobie 16 fleet and strong finishes at the 2025 Triple Crown #1 (Final). John remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
