Kai Funke represents PYC and races in the KwaZulu-Natal sailing circuit. Kai's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2024. Since then 108 races across 12 regattas have been completed. Kai competes mainly in the Optimist A fleet, alongside races in Mirror. Kai's best results include winning the 2025 Sas Kzn Mirror Regional Championship in the Mirror fleet, as well as the 2025 Sas Kzn Mirror Regional Championship in the Mirror fleet. Kai continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
