A KwaZulu-Natal sailor, Kai Funke represents PYC in competitive dinghy racing. Kai's earliest SailingSA result dates to December 2024. Since then 108 races across 12 regattas have been recorded. Most of Kai's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in Mirror. Highlights include winning the 2025 Sas Kzn Mirror Regional Championship in the Mirror fleet, along with the 2025 Sas Kzn Mirror Regional Championship in the Mirror fleet. Kai continues to build experience across competitive sailing regattas.
