A KwaZulu-Natal sailor, Kai Funke represents PYC in competitive dinghy racing. Kai's competitive record on SailingSA begins in January 2025. Since then 57 races across 7 regattas have been completed. Most of Kai's racing has been in Mirror, with additional starts in Optimist B and Optimist A. Key performances include winning the 2025 Sas Kzn Mirror Regional Championship in the Mirror fleet, along with the 2025 Riott Imca World Championships in the Mirror fleet. Kai remains active in regional dinghy racing.
