Sailing from DAC, Luan Bester competes in the Free State dinghy circuit. Luan's earliest SailingSA result dates to December 2024. Since then 87 races across 10 regattas have been recorded. Luan competes mainly in the Optimist A fleet, alongside races in Dabchick and Optimist B. Luan's best results include winning the 2025 Interschool Gauteng Regional Championships in the Optimist B fleet, as well as the 2025 Interschool Gauteng Regional Championships in the Optimist B fleet. Luan continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
