Luan Bester sails out of DAC in the Free State. Luan's earliest SailingSA result dates to December 2024. Since then 75 races across 9 regattas have been recorded. Most of Luan's racing has been in Optimist B, with additional starts in Dabchick and Optimist A. Luan's best results include winning the 2025 Interschool Gauteng Regional Championships in the Optimist B fleet, as well as the 2025 Interschool Gauteng Regional Championships in the Optimist B fleet. Luan continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
