James Tanner represents SYC and races in the Free State sailing circuit. James's earliest SailingSA result dates to December 2023. Since then 133 races across 16 regattas have been recorded. Most of James's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in other fleets. Notable results include victory at the 2025 Kzn Optimist Regionals in the Optimist A fleet and strong finishes at the 2025 Gauteng Regional Championships. James remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
