James Tanner sails out of SYC in the Free State. James's earliest SailingSA result dates to December 2023. Since then 97 races across 13 regattas have been recorded. Most of James's racing has been in Optimist A, with additional starts in other fleets. Key performances include winning the 2025 Kzn Optimist Regionals in the Optimist A fleet, along with the 2025 Gauteng Regional Championships in the Optimist A fleet. James remains an active competitor in the Western Cape sailing circuit.
