Stilbaai Yacht Club was founded in 1981 by catamaran sailors seeking a Vaal Dam base. On the north-eastern bank of the main body of the Vaal Dam (~20 km from Deneysville and Vereeniging, ~100 km from Johannesburg). Supports competitive and recreational sailing across classes; youth sailing focus. Not the coastal Western Cape town of Stilbaai.
