A KwaZulu-Natal sailor, Josh Pretorius represents HMYC in competitive dinghy racing. Josh's earliest SailingSA result dates to December 2023. Since then 82 races across 10 regattas have been recorded. Most of Josh's racing has been in Dabchick, with additional starts in Mirror and Optimist A. Highlights include winning the 2024 SA Sailing Youth Nationals - Optimist A - in the Optimist A fleet, along with the Optimist Fs Provincials in the Optimist A fleet. Josh continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
