Matthew Macpherson represents HMYC and races in the KwaZulu-Natal sailing circuit. Matthew's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2023. Since then 64 races across 8 regattas have been completed. Matthew competes mainly in the ILCA 4.7 fleet, alongside races in other fleets. Matthew's best results include winning the 2025 National Championships - ILCA Classes in the ILCA 4.7 fleet, as well as the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam in the ILCA 4.7 fleet. Matthew remains active in regional dinghy racing.
