Sailing from HMYC, Taylor Pretorius competes in the KwaZulu-Natal dinghy circuit. Taylor's competitive record on SailingSA begins in December 2023. Since then 75 races across 9 regattas have been completed. Taylor's primary class has been Dabchick, with additional appearances in Mirror and Optimist A. Taylor's best results include winning the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam in the Dabchick fleet, as well as the 2025 Hmyc Grand Slam Multihull Final in the Dabchick fleet. Taylor continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
