A KwaZulu-Natal sailor, Thomas Funke represents PYC in competitive dinghy racing. Thomas's competitive record on SailingSA begins in January 2025. Since then 80 races across 10 regattas have been completed. Most of Thomas's racing has been in 505, with additional starts in Mirror and ILCA 7. Key performances include winning the 2026 Western Cape Dinghy Championships Final in the 505 fleet, along with the 2025 Gauteng Regional Championships in the 505 fleet. Thomas continues to compete regularly across provincial and national sailing events.
