About
Royal Natal Yacht Club (est. 1858) is the oldest yacht and sports club in Africa, the oldest yacht club in the southern hemisphere, and the 8th oldest Royal yacht club in the world. Constituted in May 1858 when the first organised regatta was held in Durban (Durban Regatta Club / Natal Yacht Club); Royal charter from 1891. Situated on the banks of Durban Harbour at the Yacht Mole.
